One thing is (as i have mentioned in other posts) is at people don’t understand what a meal is, just the separate dishes. I recently took a 4 day cooking class in Bangkok and it was great, but it was only about the main dishes. I. Have been scouring the Internet and by several cookbooks trying to find those simple dishes that a family would eat, but to no avail. It’s kind of like the Mediteranian (spelling) diet that is popular in the States. It’s everyone’s favorite idea, but what it gets translated into at the dinner table is Greek yogurt, cucumbers and tons of olive oil. Diet?! Watching cooking shows, like Martha Stewart, I’m always amazed at what they’re idea of a tablespoon or two of olive oil is. Hey, its healthy right?
